Houston’s Cameron Sonnier is a singer-songwriter who has had a rather prolific release of singles over the past year or so.

He’s since returned with a slew of singles in “Colors”, a psych-infused blend of indie folk, that feels like a blend of Kurt Vile, with a rather hypnotic presence to its atmosphere and construction. It’s a song that “explores the spectrum of altered moods and altered states of consciousness.”

“Happening Now” is a single that Sonnier released prior to “Colors,” a warm and comforting dreamy track that feels like a warm sunny day spent comfortably with good company. Or as he puts it, a “dreamy song reflecting on past events while contemplating the nature of time and how we experience it. A good fit for a lazy summer day where the listener wants to get lost in the moment and lose track of time. Mellow and calming. Long walks, resting in a hammock, coffee house music.”

You can find both “Colors” and “Happening Now” available to stream below.
