Trails Pluto is a psych rock project of childhood friends Johan Aronsson and Jimmi Brewitz, who recently released their new EP, Dancing Plague of the 21st Century.
With their sound they combine sprawling atmospheric guitar tones and funky basslines, such as on the opening track “See Through Yourself.” A blend of hypnotic jammy grooves and expansive psych offerings, blurring the line as if its a lovechild of Tame Impala and Khruangbin.
Then there is single “Sleepless Nights”, a collaboration the band did with Johnny the landlord. Equally as vibrant and dreamy with a funky groovy nature that combines the passion of soul and funk, with elements of Nile Rogers and even Daft Punk.
