Leeds songwriter Niall Summerton released his debut album What Am I Made Of?, on April 14th, via Tiny Library Records – featuring previously shared efforts like “I Found It”, and “Human Dying.”

Closing track “Oh, To Waste My Time!” is an uplifting conclusion to the record, a cool and coasting dreamy slice of indie folk that emulates some of the best moments from bands like Real Estate and Woods. A laid-back and soothing production that feels like you’re floating down an endless river without a care in the world.

Or as he puts it:

“This was one of the first songs I ever wrote and gave me so much relief in that I’d found somewhere to house the feelings of anxiety and seasonal depression I was having that I didn’t want to talk about and wouldn’t have known how to either. I got the recording process finished in one manic day. I lived on the third floor of a big Victorian student house and I remember running up and down the stairs, just so eager to get the next part recorded. Jacob could hear from his room across the hall and had the perfect slide guitar part ready to be added. I called up Tom and he was over that evening to play that brilliant saxophone solo in our basement.  It is such a euphoric memory to say at the time I must have been feeling so low. The line ‘Oh, To Waste My Time!’ is tongue in cheek in that I hate feeling stagnant and standing still.”
