Bridge Dog is a band from Sydney, Australia, who has won over our dream pop-loving heart in the past, and they have done so again with their single “Counterweight.”
The song, which is about the “feeling of being submerged” sounds anything like that. The sound of blissful rising shoegaze guitars blends with a lovely sense of melancholic pop vocals, like a blend of Alvvays and Japanese Breakfast, it packs a heavy punch while also needling the thread of pop perfection at the same time – not an easy task.
