Mad Anthony is a band from the 70s whose recordings from a 1975 session are finally being released via Earth Libraries thanks to Ben Schwab (of Drugdealer and Sylvie), whose father John K. Schwab is in the band. Upon hearing his father’s music, he knew the music had to be shared. The album, properly entitled The Lost Tapes, will be released on June 30th.

Based upon one of the sessions standouts “Harriet Ann” we are more than glad that they were re-discovered. It’s a warm, endearing love song that was recorded live using one Shure SM-57 in a barn in Santa Monica, California. It has a raw simplicity that is just timeless and pure, a time capsule into a much simpler place in time.

You can find “Harriet Ann” streaming now below and can pre-order the entire LP at Bandcamp.
