Last month UK-based singer-songwriter Billie Marten released her new album Drop Cherries via IMPERIAL Music. The album was recorded entirely on tape in Somerset and Wales late last summer, and features lovely cuts such as single “God Above.”
It’s a poignant and deftly written slice of wonderous folk with rich layered production, strings, and a songwriting and storytelling style that harkens to classics of the genre, along with some contemporaries such as Laura Marling.
