Poseidon’s Alley is the project of LA-born and Portland-based producer Tim Herscovitc. He recently released his new EP, Cypress and Star, an EP featuring self-described “groove-based instrumental music that fuses both electronic and analog instruments to create a nostalgic, emotional atmosphere.”
Opening cut “Lilacs” does just that, with a very Daft Punk-esque synth-driven and hypnotic cinematic story which tells a story through the lush colorful arrangments and balance with the space in-between, channeling artists such as Tycho.
Then there is “Tree Roots” another hypnotic sonic vision with a dark yet groovy atmosphere that shines through with a balance of more rock-themed instrumentation, still packing a thrilling balanced punch.
