Dutch/English dream poppers INU INU returned last month with their new EP Gone Astray. One of the releases’ standout moments is the closer, “Lapse,” a song about “a depression (or toxic relationship) which keeps coming back. On the one hand you want to ban it out of your life, but on the other hand you grew so familiair with it that you started loving it is well.”
It captures a powerhouse anthemic rock and pop blend that features polished and confidently navigated arrangements all tied together by incredibly strong sensual vocals. It finds a way to deliver rocking riffs and still leaves traces of an ethereal atmospheric pop quality that is hard to shake.
