Thomas Flynn is a New York-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who recently returned with his new album Summer Knowing. “Gnosis Not Today” is a single from the record that is a song described by Flinn as a “personal experience with mysticism and the unknown.”
The track reminds of some of early work of Animal Collective and Panda Bear, a song that captures a spiritual mood that uses ambient noise and vivid instrumentation to craft and instrumental that lets its sonic template do all of the speaking for it. It’s a wonderous blend of artful and experimental folk that left quite an impression on us.
