Spirit Award is Seattle-based singer/songwriter Daniel Lyon, who is preparing for the release of his new album The Fear, which will be released on May 19th via Share It Music. We previously shared singles “Guilt And Shame” and “Pushing Forward” and now hit back with the soulful rocker “Western Violence”.
The track taps into a rocking groove that channels some soulful and bluesy aspects, with a seductive power to its riffs and vocal infliction, all brought to life with a crisp power in its production.
Speaking on the single, Lyon adds:
“This song fitting in with the theme of the rest of the record is about finding the truth. Asking the questions that challenge your beliefs. Finding the facts, and weed out the things that don’t stick. The things that you may have from your upbringing, bias or your ego.”
