Olympia, Washington singer-songwriter Joy Autumn has made a Nirvana cover album gives the classic songs a reimagining of her own. Autumn picked songs Cobain wrote during his Olympia years at 114 Pear street, just two miles from her childhood home.

Ahead of its release comes the ethereal and haunting new take of “In Bloom” which takes a rather cinematic and epic new life that leaves an atmospheric lasting impression.

Speaking on the cover, she adds:

“In Bloom” is one of my favorite Nirvana songs. Kurt wrote it a couple of miles from my childhood home in Olympia, WA in 1990, and when I found myself once again living at home during the pandemic, I recorded the song in my childhood bedroom. I’ve always wanted to do a tribute to my local songwriting hero, and honor him for the way his music has inspired and changed my life.”
