Yndling, the project of Norwegian dream pop artist Silje Espevik is gearing up for the release of their debut album later in the year. In the meantime, they have since released “Once or Twice”, a song that did not make the cut.

The track is a chilled-out synth-driven and dream-inspired ballad about “realizing you’re always responsible for your own happiness and dreams, which won’t be necessarily brought by a love relationship.”

It has a gentle and stirring ethereal atmosphere and approach that casts quite a spell. Or as they describe it:

“Once or Twice is a kinda pondering about how much space and fulfillment you should get out of a relationship. We’re sold the idea by like the whole society that with the right partner “everything will fall into place” in life and if you don’t feel that way there must be something wrong with you or your relationship – but that really isn’t always the case. I guess it’s kinda about realizing you still have to take responsibility for your own happiness and dreams”
