Matilda Mann is a 22-year-old emerging singer-songwriter from London. Based on her latest single “The Day That I Met You”, it’s only a matter of time till she is a trademark name.
The track features a lovely tender spirit full of the whimsical nature of pop songs of a bygone era, with modern flourishes from modern folk greats like Laura Marling, Clairo, and dare I say even a bit of a Strokes / Little Joy-like feeling to the way she delivers her vocals at times.
Speaking about the song, Matilda adds:
The world can suck. And some days it feels more like a constant than temporary. But then you meet someone, and the hand life dealt you, suddenly doesn’t feel so bad…”
