Long Distances are a dream-pop indie band from India that won us over earlier in the year with their rousing single “Empire.” They have since returned with the equally winning single “Lovesong for an Apocalypse”, both of which will appear on their upcoming EP, How the Mighty Will Fall.

It’s another delightful blend of 80s-inspired indie rock and pop, with a glistening synth-pop element that is colorful and bright-minded, with a widescreen grand spirit to it all. It’s a song that you can imagine blaring this summer in the car with the windows down.

Or as they put it:

At the centre of the song is a protagonist, who is at once vulnerable and hopeful; nostalgic, yet realistic. What preoccupies her? A world that is falling apart? A crumbling relationship? One thing is for certain: there is no turning back.
