Cameron Sonnier is an emerging artist from Houston, Texas who won us over earlier in the year with “Sunshine.” He keeps the winning effort going with two more great singles, including “Rebound” and “Ringing Bells,” which will appear on his upcoming debut album Tunnels.
“Rebound” is a confident and steady folk effort that has a compact and punchy style of delivery and production, blending elements of artists like Band Of Horses, The Smiths, and his own unique sensibility. It sounds like the sort of indie rock that took the world by storm in the mid ’00s.
“Ringing Bells” a heartfelt indie-folk effort with swirling synths that feels both grand in scope with its atmosphere, yet also intimate and personal at the same time.
