Columbus, Ohio-based indie musician Jordan Sommerlad recently returned with his new album Polly’s House, featuring wonderful cuts such as single “Too Much?”, which opens the record and features vocals from singer Lizzy Miller.
It’s a shimmering slice of indie rock and pop that feels like it could have been released during the mp3 blog heyday of the mid-2000s. A song about “struggling to come up with the right words and often falling short” is presented in a rather buoyant and upbeat manner, with some sneaky good hooks that give us a bit of a feel of Nada Surf and The Shins.
