Jonsjooel is a Finnish artist and composer who released their debut single “Noise I,II,III” back in January. The track is an artful slice of indie, electronic, pop, and about everything in between.

What stood out to us immediately about “Noise I,II,III” was the airy atmosphere, the soulful spirit and vocals, and the production which creates brilliant and deep-rooted soundscapes – like a mix of Local Natives, Bon Iver, and Hundred Waters.

Or as they describe the single:

Some call it music but others might call it noise. Just like how we listen to the world. There is so much to hear and all we need to do is to listen carefully. In and under all this noise we can still find meaningful things.

Words don’t have a purpose outside the humankind. Realising this could help us find different ways to comprehend sound and our connection to other things and beings.

And is there a better place to become more aware of this meaning and connection than in the nature?
