Color Palette is the dream pop project of Washington, DC-based songwriter/vocalist Jay Nemeye who has recently returned with new single “Dreams.”

A lush and uplifting blend of dream pop with a 90s esque cinematic style of soundscapes that will take your hand and lead your ascent to the heavens. A bit of New Order, a bit of Slowdive and very much a dreamy sound of its own.

Speaking on the track, Nemeye adds:

Most people simply don’t have the time to do what they truly love. We’ve got to worry about rent, bills, world wars, health crises, and working a (sometimes) very unfulfilling job. “Dreams” attempts to capture this sentiment with the refrain “our lights are bright, but they’re fading fast”. In a world that is descending into chaos, “Dreams” seeks to unite us all under the umbrella of commiseration. This song was heavily influenced musically by bands such as Slow Dive, Ride, and My Bloody Valentine. We have plans to reach out to a number of outlets that promote Shoegaze music before/once it is released. It would be an enormous help if this song was playlisted on a shoegaze-related editorial playlist – we believe it would fit very well. Thank you for your time
