Sweet home are a shoegaze band from Durham, North Carolina who released their wonderful-yet-overlooked album Advice last fall.
“Autumn” is a perfect taste of the goodness on the album with anthemic chugging shoegazy and post-punk guitar work with vocals that totally transport you to the heydey of the genre in the 90s. Lush dreamy and hazy vocals collide with the blissful noise to create something familiar and comforting for fans of the genre.
Or as they describe it:
Heavily pop inspired shoegaze track. the idea was if the Buzzcocks or the Cure had to write a modern shoegaze song.
