Canadian singer-songwriter Riun Garner is preparing for the release of his upcoming debut album – but has since returned with standalone single “Loner.” It’s taken from the official film soundtrack of the upcoming NBC rom-com Dating Wisdom, which also features Garner as a lead actor playing the role of Ben.
“Loner” feels like a classic slice of power pop in the vein of 90s classics such as earlier Fountains of Wayne. You can imagine this fitting alongside other classic tunes of the era in a film such as That Thing You Do!.
