Los Angeles rockers Liily are a rather underrated group in our eyes – with their debut LP, TV or Not TV, going a bit under the radar last year. The band has just returned with their follow-up single, the furious and thrashing “Applause.” It’s a hint of more music to come next year via Flush Records.
The track has a bit of a Deth From Above guttural and raw primal state of being about it with a hint of a dance influence bubbling to the surface.
Speaking on their new single, the band adds:
“I guess you can say ‘Applause’ is our own take on a dance song and an exciting follow up to our first record, TV or Not TV. It shows the gradual artistic growth inspired by our first year touring post-pandemic and the necessary performative and sonic shift we endured becoming a 4 piece.”
