90’s-era Tampa-based emo indie outfit Pohgoh returned in November with their new album, du und ich, which was released via Spartan Records.

The album was influenced by lead singer Susie Ulrey’s diagnosis of MS in 2001 and “the stress and anxiety of life during the Covid pandemic as her disease progressed.”

“Hammer” was the second single and standout track from the album, which features a heartbreaking and emotive confession from Ulrey, which still manages to pull out rather catchy hooks through the devastating track.
