Swimmingly is the sweetly naive moniker of East London indie-folk singer/songwriter Mack Hofberg who caught our attention a few times over the years.

He returned in a commanding way this fall with his latest single, “I’ve Got A Bad Bad Feeling.” It’s a gorgeous slice of confessional indie folk that will touch your spirit and soul. It touches on topics such as loneliness and isolation and how we find ways to keep our spirits up in such dark times. It’s well-written, and produced with a chilly isolated atmosphere that is strangely catchy and emotionally stirring.

Or as Hofberg puts it:

This is a song for closet optimists. I personally suffer from near constant anxiety when alone. This song is about the rare days I wake up and its gone, and the hope I feel that it won’t come back.
