Singer-songwriter Jackie Cohen returned this fall with her new album Prattfall via Earth Libraries, which features tracks like the standout offering and single, “Ghost Story.”

Cohen’s powerhouse vocals lead the charge with an anthemic and uplifting spirit that channels some of the classic songwriters of our time. It was one of the first songs that Cohen wrote for the record, with its meaning revealing itself to her over time.

Or as Cohen puts its:

“ It’s a song about annihilation and acceptance. I wanted it to sound like that weird wave of calm that washes over you in rag-doll free-fall. A lot of lag-time and catch-up. It’s hopeless and serene. I never shut up about that moth dive-bombing the flame. This song is about learning to love the inferno. I wanted to write “going inferno mode off a cliff,” but that felt like too much. Essentially, if you wanna wake up, you’re gonna have to jump.” –
