Elskavon is the project of Minneapolis-based musician Chris Bartels, who has recently released his lovely single “North Sole” a track taken from his upcoming album Origins, due out on February 17 via Western Vinyl.
The track sets the tone with a vibrant and atmospheric soundscape that paints a cinematic picture, with an emotive undercurrent. The track uses his vocals alongside the other instrumentation as if another character in this world or an instrument in itself. One can totally imagine this playing out the melancholic conclusion of a great indie coming-of-age film.
