Brooklyn’s Slow Fiction have returned with their latest single “Top 10 Movie Scenes”, which will appear on their debut self-titled EP, due out on February 16, 2023.
The band expands its reach as a slow-burning indie rock ballad that becomes more widescreen with every set, fitting considering its title. It has the warmth and delicate build of bands like Camera Obscura and even a hint of the expansive nature of Los Campesinos!.
Speaking on the track, the band adds:
“Writing through a false lens allows you to put yourself in the minds of people you don’t know, and create storylines that don’t exist. The idea behind this track came about during a paranoid delusion… and a melody followed shortly after.”
