Brooklyn-based artist Raavi returned earlier in the year with “no bodies”, which was released via Hardly Art and was made while they were preparing for the release of their last EP.

The track features mathy guitar work combined with a dreamy 90s indie garage sound, like a mix of Palm, Forth Wanderes, Soccer Mommy and Snail Mail. The vocals carry a meditative and melancholic weight that is a perfect mix to the guitar work.

Speaking on the track, Raavi adds:

The track was made while preparing the release for their last EP and Raavi was feeling the weight of putting music into the world and hoping people would like it. As you climb to the top of one ladder, you realize you’re just at the bottom of another different ladder. And even with the knowledge that “success” isn’t linear and everyone has their own ladders, it’s still incredibly difficult to recognize where you are on your own path.
