jRadx is a Coquitlam, BC-based producer, rap/hip-hop artist who this summer released his new album Desert Power.
The LP is his 4th that sees him tackle a wide variety of genres, floating between sonic worlds of electronic, dance, hip-hop, all into something that he molds into something very much of his own.
Take the album highlight “Strife” which has a bit of a melancholic pop spirit with the atmosphere of a 90s indie rock anthem such as Placebo. There are gorgeous big sonic arrangements with a golden atmospheric shine to it, with a warmth and genuine curiosity that has a passionate and touching rhythm and soul. And just when you think you got the song figured out, he drops a hip-hop verse to give the track an entirely new dimension.
You can find “Strife” streaming below and the entire LP available to buy/listen over at Bandcamp.
