Velveteen began as a side project that began in a top-floor London flat before it soon grew into so much more. Fans of shoegaze will have no problem falling for the band’s sound, seen on their recently shared single “If You Could”, a track taken from their upcoming album, Empty Crush.
The track dives deep into a golden hour hue of blissful dreamy shoegaze and reverb galore. Bands like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive surely will come to mind, but there is a welcome path of their own to instill some of their own qualities to this beloved genre.
