Tancred, the project of singer-songwriter Jess Abbott has returned with new single “Mirepoix,” her first new music since her 2018 record, Nightstand.
The track sees Abbott combine forces with the delicate vocals of Jenny Owen Youngs, who is a perfect fit alongside the contemplative intimate folk sound found on “Mirepoix.” The track has an ethereal otherworldy dream-like quality, yet still feels perfectly grounded and rooted in the heartbreak that only the real world could bring.
