On Friday Icelandic singer-songwriter Arny Margret released her debut album They Only Talk About The Weather, which is out today via One Little Independent Records. She first caught our attention when she performed at Newport Folk Festival this summer.
With its release we have shared the opening track and single “whatever it means”, which comes with a lovely live music video performance. The track is a vivid sincere ball of emotion that captures a touching quality that is impossible to shake. It doesn’t take long to realize that it’s quite clear that Marget is a natural songwriting talent, a voice that you need to keep a desperate eye on.
Then there is the equally majestical album standout and previously shared single “the world is between us.” It’s another warm and emotive piece of folk songwriting that pierces deep through your heart.
