Stockholm shoegazers Holy Ship have returned today with their new EP Sun Macabre, released via Declared Goods.
The EP is full of psych-rock goodness such as the evocative single “Prodigal Son”, which closes the track in epic fashion. It channels some of the best of 60s/70s era classic rock with a dark psych-rock edge and atmosphere, that feels like the good old days of Tame Impala mixed with Temples.
Then there is “Hail Haze”, a more upbeat and vibrant slice of psych rock that really turns back the clock in a hazy and trippy way with hints of vintage clothing and LSD.
