Norway’s Ola Kvaløy, of the acclaimed indie-pop band Lano Place, has returned with his warm new solo single, “The Port” the latest shared from his upcoming new album Any Other Life, which is due out October 28th.
“The Port” alludes to the Norwegian poet Olav H. Hauge’s poem “It is that Dream”, “about us one day sailing into the port we didn’t even know existed.” It’s a rather gorgeous and stunning piece of work, telling the story of love and longing between two people living separate lives. You really get that sense of melancholy and longing in the track which is warm and vivid in its approach and delivery.
