Canadian singer-songwriter KT Laine has recently shared “Dumpster Fire”, the lead single from her debut record.
It’s an assured artful folk-rock track, that feels like a blend of the artful terrain of Cate Le Bon, mixed with the passionate new age confessions of Fenne Lily. Not only are her lyrics poignant and showstopping, but she has a knack for a sneakily catchy hook to reel you in, hook, line, and sinker.
Providing some insight into the single, Laine adds:
This song is a reminder to be honesty with myself. It’s introspective and a little self deprecating, and it feels like it paints a picture of the ways I was growing at the time.
