Melbourne producer, singer, and songwriter BATTS is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming album The Nightline, out October 14 on Mistletone Records. The record is born out of a wonderful and creative mission:
It’s “the end result of a project inspired by an interactive audio commission launched by Melbourne’s RISING Festival” and is “themed around messages left on a voicemail between midnight and 6am, recruiting voices from insomniacs, night owls, and other night-time dreamers.”
The track coasts with a retro-fitted pop vocal performance, one that harnesses it in for a thoughtful atmospheric folk and blistering indie rock sound that feels vital and essential with heaps of emotional depth.
