Alpha Pet is a fresh-faced Swedish post-punk band that has captured our ears with their second single “Too Fast.”
The track channels a dark and pulsating haunted energy, that feels like it’s channeling the influence of Joy Division, with the live spirit of modern champions of the genre such as Protomartyr and Viagra Boys.
Speaking on the song, Alpha Pets vocalist Rocky Åberg says about the creative process:
“When Jocke and Putte started hammering out the beat, it was impossible not to get caught up in the feeling of being the superior in an action movie. HA, HA! The theme of the text came naturally – desert from society and put your legs on your back. No one is faster than he who is free.”
