Slow Cruise is the project of Swedish multi-instrumentalist songwriter Dennis Dine, who makes delicious self-produced psych-pop such as his most recently released single “Another Place.”
The track is about returning to your hometown and realizing things are very different. There’s a warm and vibrant sense of melancholy that soars throughout the track, produced with a sense of melancholy that uplifts as much as it comforts.
Enjoy a listen to the single below, along with a quote from Dine about its meaning:
This song is about going back to the town you grow up in and realising that everyone has moved away, grown up or married. It’s a song about growing up in working class England and realising somehow people move on, but you are still tied to this place.
