yawner. is the Chicago-based duo of David Fuller & Matt Massara who have turned back the clocks for a very 80s delight in their debut album Sunkissed.

“So Low” is a standout and lead single from the LP that will make those who missed the good old days of The Drums find plenty to take comfort it. Slick and jangly guitar work, a melancholic and sense of longing richly textured throughout the atmosphere, and dramatic vocals sweep you off your feet.

Or as the band describes it:

This was one of the first songs David wrote after moving away from his home of 23 years in Ohio. It’s an introspective look on time spent masking feelings and falling into a cycle. The song is a nod to growth and ending up right where you need to be.
