Maja Lena is the project of Swedish folk singer-songwriter Marianne Parrish, who will release her sophomore album Pluto will be out on December 2nd via Chiverin Records. She previously shared single “No More Flowers” and has since hit back with “Through The Wall.”

Fans of Jessica Pratt will love the sparse and dreamlike nature of “”Through The Wall”, a song that feels like it could have been found in a long-lost pile of vinyl from a different era. Warmly adorned with great horns to give it a whimsical and spiritual feeling, the track is absolutely gorgeous and thought-provoking.

Speaking on the single, Parrish details:

“I wrote “Through The Wall” while we were recording the album. I wasn’t sure if it would make it onto the record, but I couldn’t stop playing it and then we ended up tracking it.

Lyrically, there are themes of feeling torn between two worlds, themes of feeling not good enough, and themes of feeling lost. It’s also about the strange passing of time.”

Find “Through The Wall” streaming below, where we have also shared the previously released single “The Curtain.”
