Deathsport is an indie rock band hailing from Germany led by brothers Tom and Mike Zitzelsberger. Our introduction to the duo came through the very accurately titled “NIGHTDRIVE.”
The track harnesses a great power and energy, channeling a bit of a post-punk and dreamy atmospheric sound, one that leans into a pop-friendly territory, but one done without any compromises along the way. The best way I can describe it from my weird brain is it feels like a track that would’ve fit perfectly on one of those great The O.C. soundtrack mixes.
Or as the band put it:
We love poem styled lyrics about very specific topics. Nightdrive is a song about a soothing / comforting mindfulness one has while driving in a car at night. Something we learned to love while growing older.
