Fonteyn is the project of singer, songwriter, and music producer Suzanne May, who recently released her latest EP Trip the Light Fantastic, via Born Losers.

One of the EP’s standout moments is “Girl on a Motorcycle” a track that serves as an ode to the 1968 film of the same name. The track is a colorful and free-spirited bit of art rock with an old school pop sensibility that feels like a more sun-soaked Aldous Harding.

When speaking about the song’s influence, May added:

‘Girl on a Motorcycle’ is an homage to the 1968 film of the same name. The song seeks to capture the quirky, ethereal tone of the film while at the same time give the feel of a motorcycle engine chugging along. The video is heavily inspired by the imagery of the film and the lead character, played by Marianne Faithfull, and her bewitching performance.
