Louisville Kentucky-based trio Wombo, recently returned with their new album, Fairy Rust, which was released on July 29th via Fire Talk Records.

One of the highlights of the album is one of its lead singles, “7 of Cups.” The track revels in a 90s aesthetic, that taps into a focused moody energy that is a bit of a slow burn but one that is tightly woven with emotive energy that feels like it could unravel at any moment.

About the track, the band added:

The song is about losing time, forgetting/ being forgotten by time, and feeling trapped by time. The hourglass I found at an antique mall and it gave me the idea to have myself trapped inside a room as a clay version of myself by it. Wanted to give off Feelings of Deja Vu, epiphanies that you simultaneously forget as you have them, dreams you can’t remember even though you know they were crazy- kind of vibes. Like being stuck in limbo or just feeling constantly confused.
