Amsterdam-based indie/dream pop duo Loupe has recently let go of their lovely single “Better Off” which will be featured on their upcoming second EP.
The track is an emotive and smartly crafted blend of indie dream pop with a tender folk influence that builds into an emotional climax that only grows in power with every passing moment. From the passion of the vocals to the flourishes of the instrumentation that swells into something uplifting in size and spirit.
About the track, the band adds:
“Better Off” is about jealousy and how much that can control your thoughts. You love somebody so much that you’re worried somebody else will do so too. Before you know deep love turns into a poisonous controlling relationship.
