New York-based dream pop duo Phantom Handshakes have followed up their lovely single “Come Undone” with the joyful and vibrant single “The Flowery Man.”

The track is a jangly dream pop offering that is aptly described by the duo as a “3-minute burst of sunshine.” Imagine the jangly guitar work of Real Estate combined with the natural pop hooks and charm of Cults.

Or as they describe it further:

The song’s lyrics are inspired by a New Yorker article about a woman who suddenly starts having hallucinations. She is a visionary, she sees things that don’t exist and lives in a world of her own. The Flowery Man is her imaginary boyfriend with whom she spends the summer days chilling at the beach.
