British indie trio headboy are a band with a sound that “sways from lo-fi bedroom tones to tumultuous blasts of riot grrrl fury.” This is in full display on “Toothrot” their passionate new single that was released via Blitzcat.

The song hits hard with a raw garage rock and punk flury and big anthemic vocals, a sound that packs a ton of punch and angst but also finds a way to get stuck in your head. Think Wolf Alice meets Bully.

Speaking on how quickly the writing of the song came along, the band adds:

Playing live really influenced that song’, comments Jess who leads the vocals on this one. ‘It became louder and expressed the shared sense of frustration and absurdity. We really wanted to capture that energy in the recording.
