Brooklyn-based indie rock outfit Pamphlets have recently returned with new single “Accidental” a track that doesn’t shy away from its post-punk influences, pulling from titans of the genre such as Joy Division (that intro alone) and Gang Of Four.
A dark edgy punk spirit runs through “Accidental” as if you’re seeing the band perform in the dingiest and darkest of dive bars with beer flowing through the creases of your shoes.
Or as the band describes it:
Originating from a bass riff, “Accidental” is simply a conversation between two individuals. Intentionally blunt and confrontational, it’s a conversation of guilt, trust/mistrust and mutual misunderstanding.
