Jacklen Ro, the folk-duo of Jackie Giroux, and Caelen Perkins have recently shared the single “Time Bomb” a single taken ahead of their upcoming debut album, due out later in the year via Lolipop Records.
A warm blend of folk-rock with a bit of a confident rock chorus and pop-friendly sensibility, the track feels like Cage The Elephant mixed with The Head and The Heart. Certainly not bad company.
Speaking on the track, the band wrote:
“‘Time Bomb’ is a song about a self-destructive relationship that just feels so good. It is knowing that the fiery passion you have with someone is going to end, but not dwelling on that and enjoying it while you got it. It’s about accepting your own flaws and the flaws in others and just riding it all out.”
