Silver Liz, the Brooklyn-based genre-traversing musical collaboration between Carrie and Matt Wagner is no stranger to these pages. The duo has since returned with their new single “Unlikely Girl” a song that will appear on their upcoming sophomore album.
The shimmering track has a jangly dreamy pop sound reminiscent of 90s greats of the genre with a hypnotic vocal performance and lush harmonies that soar into a welcome warm and nostalgic place. There is even some old school retro classic pop of the 60s that is impossible to ignore.
