Flora is a freshman in high school from Kansas who began her music career during the pandemic . We previously shared “Violets are Blue” and today we return to share “HEY” from her debut album Emerald City, which was released last week.
“HEY” is a charming indie rock and bedroom pop song about “a lonely girl’s attempt at maintaining a friendship that feels like it may be slipping away.”
It reminds of the concise songwriting nature and style of Frankie Cosmos, from the vibrant energy to the brisk song-length that does quite a lot with a little.
