Loveseat Pete is an indie rock out of Asbury Park that formed amidst the pandemic in 2020, spearheaded by frontman Vincent Nigro. Accompanied by bassist Jason Wenzel and drummer Matthew Keenan. In September 2021 they released their debut EP, God Damn, Give Up.
While they prepare for their debut record due out later this year, we’d like to focus on two tracks that served as our introduction to the band.
There’s the groovy “Feed the Ducks” which has the addictive indie garage and power-pop hooks and smarts of Car Seat Headrest – even down to the vocal delivery. As well as “Ceiling” a track that reminds of some of the early 2010s Cali-based garage rock, calling to mind acts like Wavves, Together Pangea and FIDLAR.
